Welcome message
I am honoured and privileged to be named chairman of Gateshead Stadium Powersports Club, as a member since the age of 14 (10 years now!) I have learned a lot about the gym, the workings of it & the workings of the stadium as a whole, so for these reasons I am confident I can bring some fresh ideas to fruition, with the help of the incredibly intelligent group of members we currently have at our budding club – GPSC is a sleeping giant that’s just starting to wake up.
I had the opportunity recently to meet with the Stadium’s Operations Director (Mr Ian Banks) & the Business director (Brian Hewitson). During this meeting we discussed the future of the club within the stadium and we all agreed that GPSC is & should continue to be the biggest selling point of the gym. With a gym re-vamp expected in early 2018 we are confident that working together with Gateshead council we can influence some fantastic changes that will benefit not only the club but also the Stadium as a whole, exciting times seem to be on the horizon.

We currently have 18 members, 12 of which are powerlifters & 6 in our weightlifting club.
